3. AI & Image Processing

Crafted uses OpenAI's GPT-5.4 and related models (provided by OpenAI, L.L.C.) to analyze images, generate project guides, create illustrations, and provide troubleshooting assistance. When you use AI-powered features, the following data may be sent to OpenAI's servers:

• Photos you upload: Images of your space are transmitted to OpenAI for visual analysis to understand room dimensions, features, and layout
• Project descriptions: Text you provide describing your desired build or project intent
• Measurements: Spatial dimensions and measurement data you input or confirm
• Troubleshooting queries: Questions and photos shared through the AI Help feature

Important details about how OpenAI handles your data:

• Crafted accesses OpenAI via their API, which means your data is not used to train OpenAI's models
• Data sent to OpenAI is retained by OpenAI for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, then deleted
• The specific AI model used for any given request is selected by Crafted's internal model router and may change over time as stronger models become available; in all cases, requests are routed only to OpenAI and the privacy terms above apply
• All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections
• You will be asked for explicit consent before any data is sent to OpenAI for the first time
• You can withdraw consent at any time through the App's settings

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share limited information with the following third parties solely to operate the App:

• OpenAI, L.L.C. - Photos, project descriptions, and measurements are sent to OpenAI for AI-powered analysis and content generation (see Section 3)
• RevenueCat, Inc. - Subscription status and anonymous identifiers are shared to manage premium features
• Hosting and infrastructure providers - Standard server logs and operational data
• Legal authorities - If required by law or to protect our rights

All third parties are contractually required to safeguard your data and use it only for the stated purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to:

• Provide and improve the App
• Comply with legal obligations
• Resolve disputes and enforce policies

You may request deletion of your data at any time.
